The world is on the cusp of a revolution — the AI Revolution. Artificial intelligence has made its way towards all parts of society, from our homes to the streets. But this begs the question: will AI take over the world?

That’s actually pretty cliché. Let’s take a step back. The advent of AI has brought with it many obstacles. One of the largest ones? Ethics. The possibilities of AI are endless, but these apply to nefarious acts just as much as virtuous ones. How do we make sure that AI isn’t being used in manipulative ways? What can we do to protect our privacy? Is it truly possible to create an AI without biases? These are just some of the topics that I’ll be tackling oh this blog.

Hey Medium! I’m Ryan, an ambassador for the Inspirit AI program. I’ve always had an affinity for cutting-edge technology. From the IBM Personal Computer to the first iPhone, these inventions have forever changed the course of humanity. I believe that artificial intelligence is the next big thing and I’m really interested in seeing where this technology leads and its impact on society.

Being a part of the Inspirit AI Scholars program has been really eye-opening for me. It’s given me new perspectives on the many different applications of AI and the many technicalities hidden underneath the magic. I’ve explored topics ranging from voice assistants to differential privacy with great instructors helping me along the way; shoutout to Sophia and Ricky!

I hope that this blog can reach anyone, AI enthusiasts and non-enthusiasts alike, and educate more people on the importance of keeping technology in check. This technology is about to change our world, and the more people that can learn about it the better.
